Country Living

On days when I’m stuck in traffic, cursing (under my breath) at the terrible drivers in this city, lamenting my 68km (each way!) commute, it really helps to come home to our peaceful country life, and have the type of weekend that reminds me how lucky we are to live so close to nature. There’s a much slower pace of life out here, and it’s such a welcome break from the city after a long day. On Thursday evening, we headed out to a BBQ with friends that Chris volunteers with after work, in one of our neighbouring communities. Then on Saturday, I had a chance to go for a nice hike just outside of town with my dad and sister. Awful commute or not, I’m in no hurry to trade this lifestyle for a shorter drive.
