A Garden Update

We did some weeding and watering in the garden today, and it’s looking great! We harvested a bunch of swiss chard and lettuce, a hungarian hot pepper, and a few sprigs of rosemary, oregano, and parsley. We also snacked on the first few snowpeas which are starting to come in, which were so sweet they tasted like candy. Delicious! We even have a surprise addition to the garden – a large pumpkin plant is growing right next to the composter – because last Halloween’s Jack-O-Lantern was disposed of in the compost bin!

Here’s a visual of how the garden’s looking now:

Not the garden… but a very cool cloud!

  1. Wow! Everything looks so great! I’m jealous of all your lettuces and whatnot. We planted a ton of spinach, lettuces, and broccoli and…nada. Such a bummer. I’m still holding out hope that they’ll all come in like the poppy flowers I was growing, which I thought were duds and like a month later we had plants, and now they’re getting so big.
